Wenatchee Graduate will lead the Middle and High School Athletic Program

The Lake Chelan School District is excited to announce the hiring of Scott Paine as our District Athletic Director. The hiring process was extremely competitive attracting over 30 applicants including athletic administrators from the collegiate level.
Paine, a former Wenatchee High School graduate, served as the Wenatchee School District Middle School Athletic Director for 4 years, the varsity head golf coach and also coached numerous middle school sports. For the past two years, he was the Athletic Director at the Sunnyside School District. He has also worked as a wildland firefighter for the WA Department of Natural Resources and a researcher for the Discovery Channel Ocean Research Division.
Mr. Paine earned a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Washington in Biology: Anatomy/Physiology & Biomechanics with Minors in Chemistry & Psychology in 2013 and a dual Master’s of Science in Business and Athletic Administration from Ohio University in 2018.
Needless to say, Scott Paine is highly qualified for the position. Paine is known for his high energy, driven, positive outlook and his ability to create a culture that permeates throughout the student body and the community.
