The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority is excited to announce the groundbreaking event for its highly anticipated Trades District Project. The event is scheduled for June 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the project site, located at South Billingsley Drive, East Wenatchee, WA.

The Trades District Project is a transformative initiative aimed at revitalizing a key area of Douglas County, creating a hub for innovation, creativity, and economic growth. The project will repurpose a significant portion of the former Giga Watt blockchain site, providing modern, flexible spaces for businesses in various industries.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone for the Trades District Project,” said Stacie de Mestre, Director of Economic Development and Capital Projects, of the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority. “This project represents a significant investment in our community and will play a crucial role in driving economic development and job creation in the region.”

The groundbreaking event will feature remarks from key figures, including Jim Kuntz, CDRPA CEO, Commissioner Mark Spurgeon, CDRPA and Mina Gomez, Hispanic Business Council.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the project’s vision, timeline, and impact on the community.
