Hoxie notes the tournament is designed for all ages and skill levels and will be played in a round-robin format. Friday play will start at 11:00 a.m., with play starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The tournament will feature competition in Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

Spectators are encouraged to come watch the competition. There are a few chairs and umbrellas available or bring your own! The Love-All Cafe at Harmony Meadows will be open and selling espresso, gelato, smoothies and other artisan snacks and beverages.

Pickleball is now considered the fastest growing sport in the United States. The game is played on a badminton sized court with a net lowered to 34-inches at the center. Paddles are about twice the size of a ping pong paddle and the ball is perforated plastic. The game is described as a mix of tennis, ping pong and racquetball and can be played by all ages.
