Daily Service to Portland begins October 3rd

The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority is pleased to announce new nonstop air service between Pangborn Memorial Airport and Portland, operated by Horizon Air. This new route will provide travelers in North Central Washington with convenient, direct access to one of the Pacific Northwest’s major transportation hubs.
Beginning October 3rd, 2026, the new service will offer one flight a day between Wenatchee and Portland, expanding regional connectivity and providing seamless access to a wide range of domestic and international destinations through Portland International Airport.
“This new route is an exciting step forward for our region,” said Commissioner JC Baldwin. “Direct service to Portland enhances mobility for residents, supports local businesses, and strengthens our ability to attract visitors and investment to Chelan and Douglas Counties.”
The addition of Portland service reflects continued efforts by the Regional Port to enhance air service options and improve accessibility for the community. The route is expected to benefit both business and leisure travelers, offering a convenient alternative to longer drive times and additional connections.
“Connecting Wenatchee to Portland provides our guests east of the Cascades more flexibility with travel plans that can take them to or through Portland in addition to the Seattle service they’ve come to rely on,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning.
Passengers will be able to book flights through Alaska Airlines’ website and mobile app, including additional details, such as flight schedules and fares.
Pangborn Memorial Airport is owned and operated by the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority and serves as a vital transportation gateway for North Central Washington. The airport supports commercial air service, general aviation, and critical air operations that contribute to the region’s economic vitality.
