Parking stalls, crosswalks, fog and center lines will be repainted
Information and map released by Chelan County Public Works
Motorists are warned to remove all vehicles from the roadway on Aug. 12 in downtown Manson so a public works crew can paint parking stalls and road lines.
No overnight parking will be allowed on Wednesday, Aug. 12, on Wapato Way/Manson Boulevard in downtown Manson, from Wapato Point Parkway to Wapato Way. Vehicles must be off the roadway by 6 p.m.
A Chelan County Public Works crew will be painting parking stalls and crosswalks as well as the road’s fog and center lines. The work will be done overnight, when traffic is least impacted.
Roadway paint is designed to dry very quickly – 30 to 90 seconds. However, motorists are advised to never pass a working striper truck. If cars are behind a striper, oftentimes the crew will pull over when it is safe to do so. Motorists also should never drive over the wet lines. Doing so not only smears and ruins the safety lines, but the quick-drying paint also may get on the vehicle.
