Local Auto Museum Enters 2nd Year of Operation

by Dennis Rahm

Take a trip down memory lane this summer with a visit to Miller’s Lake Chelan Auto Museum. Now in its second season of operation, the museum features classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and even an airplane seized in a drug raid along with an outstanding collection of memorabilia.

This museum is a labor of love for long time Lake Chelan Valley residents Leo and Polly Miller (pictured above).

The museum has now expanded into a fourth building that will allow for a display of more than 70 vehicles. Leo Miller tells LakeChelanNow that year one went well, and things are off to a good start for this year.

While cars and trucks are the main attraction, the many displays of memorabilia draw almost as much attention. You’ll be able to see many interesting vintage collectables including gas pumps, neon signs, toys, pinball machines and more.

Miller’s Lake Chelan Auto Museum and Event Center is open to the public from the third week in June through September every Thursday through Saturday from noon until 3 pm. The museum is located at 20 Blue Water Lane about a mile and a half from downtown Chelan off the Chelan Falls Highway.

For more information visit their website at www.millersautomuseum.com. The museum is operated in association with the Lake Chelan Car Club which will be presenting their annual Fall Car Show on September 7th at Riverwalk Park.
