Brewster Man Booked in Okanogan County Jail

59-year old Peggy Anne Griffin of Manson was killed Tuesday (10/22) in a head-on collision on SR 97 north of Brewster.
A car driven by a 37-year old Brewster man, Kai Michael Marcellay, attempted an illegal pass, striking Griffin’s car head on.
Both Marcellay and his passenger, 33-year old Brian Wade Dougherty of Okanogan, were transferred to Three Rivers Hospital. Marcellay was subsequently booked into Okanogan County Jail with charges of vehicular homicide. The WSP report indicates drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
