The Manson Trojans were nervous going into this match on Saturday, having narrowly defeated the girls team a week ago. With one varsity player out, the girls had to step up, and they did. Ultimately, the girls won 4-1 against a tough league opponent.

Natalee Reyna and Genesis Torres continued their undefeated season, beating the most impressive doubles team we’ve seen all season in league. Addie Richmond and Kayden Koth won their first match together as a doubles team, winning 6-3, 6-2. On the singles side, Karly Naranjo and Destiny Lopez won 6-1, 6-4, and 6-2, 6-1, respectively. Olivia Smith fell to last year’s 3rd place finisher at state, going to deuce each time. This was an extremely high-level match to watch, and Olivia impressed everyone watching.

The boys had an impressive 5-0 win against a solid Okanogan team. Ben Rasmusson and Cavan Willard remain undefeated, winning their singles matches quickly. Sota Watanabe lost his first set, but came back to win the match in the longest and most competitive match of the day.

The Manson doubles teams both played their best matches of the season. Jacob England and Oashan Sanchez looked at the top of their game, winning with an impressive score of 6-2, 6-1. Finn Smith and P.D. Sanchez had the best games of their lives, hands down. Finn was unstoppable at net and P.D. was consistent at baseline.
