Board votes to maintain its five-day-a-week schedule
information released
The Manson School Board has decided not to pursue an Economy Efficiency Waiver, also known as the 4-Day Student School Week, for the 2024-2025 academic year. Instead, the school will maintain its five-day-a-week schedule.
Board members did not feel prepared to discuss the change — made possible due to the passage of recent legislation expanding the number of districts eligible to consider a four-day student week — and will not include consideration of this change to the school calendar in board meeting agendas at this time. Further deliberation may happen in the fall of 2024.
“The board remains focused on strategic planning and budgeting,” Superintendent Tabatha Mires said. “Thanks to all stakeholders for their input, which was carefully considered by the board.”
