Stakeholders will be sent a survey this week soliciting feedback

information released

At their March 25 meeting, the Manson School Board reopened the discussion on pursuing the Economy Efficiency Waiver (4-Day School Week) for the 2025-2026 academic year. Initially considered in the spring of 2024, the board opted not to apply then, choosing to address concerns from students, staff, and the community first.

Stakeholders can find information about the 4-day school week option on the district’s website, including a Q&A document and an informational flyer. Additional resources will be added as the decision approaches. All stakeholders will be allowed to share their thoughts and opinions on a survey that will be sent out on April 11.

If the board moves forward in considering this option, notice will be provided to allow for public comment at the April 28 board meeting.

“We understand that this is a significant decision, which is why we want to ensure that we hear from all stakeholders before any final decisions are made,” Superintendent Tabatha Mires said. “Your feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the decision-making process, and we are eager to hear your thoughts and insights. Together, we can ensure that any changes made are in the best interests of our students, families, and community.”
