Trojans Shut Out the Cougars 27-0

Manson football had a decisive win Friday night at Warden. The defense played another amazing game and shutout the Warden Cougars. Hugo Lopez led the team in tackles with 10 and hit hard all night. Seniors Caden Beazley & Junior Vargas also led the Trojans on defense. Vargas ended the night with multiple sacks and a couple tackles in the backfield.
On offense, the Trojans were able to sustain a couple impressive drives. They scored a touchdown in each quarter of the game. Caden Beazley led the rushing attack with 147 yards and a TD. He also had some fun pitching in on a running back pass that he threw to Tucker Flowers in the 3rd quarter to extend the lead to 19-0. Freshman Angel Lopez had a great night throwing the ball for 152 yards and a TD to Freshman Ben Cullison. Angel Lopez also scored a TD on the ground.
“Overall I think we put a complete game together,” said Coach Johanson, “It’s amazing what a great week of practice will do for a team. There are some mistakes we still need to clean up, but we looked a lot more disciplined and focused this week.”
Manson sits at 1-1 on the season and will travel to Lake Roosevelt next Friday.
