Participants to debut new uniforms and signage at Chelan County Fair
information and photo submitted by Norm Manly
Members of the Manson Grange would like to thank the Youth Fairs supporters who contributed to our “Move to the Next Level” fundraising effort earlier this year.
As you can see in the photo above, we now have hats, shirts, banners, signage and picture frames that will be used at the Chelan County Fair in September. We look professional!
Contributing financially or with in-kind donations were: American Legion, Post 108, B’S Tees & More, Broody Roost Company, Chelan Valley Heating and Cooling, England Chiropractic, Hartland Ranch, Lake Chelan Boating Club, Manson Growers, and Mountain View Lodge.
About the Grange “Youth Fairs” Program
The Grange “Youth Fairs” program offers young members, age 5-19 the opportunity to exhibit at county fairs and expositions. This program works alongside other nationally recognized programs such as 4-H and FFA. At the Manson Youth Fairs program, we focus on students 5 through 8th grade and encourage them to move into the Chelan and Manson FFA programs in high school.
The mission and purpose of the Grange “Youth Fair” program is to provide an opportunity for young Grange members to participate in an educational setting, designed to increase confidence, strengthen character, learn invaluable life skills and teach the importance of self-discipline. The program encourages learning opportunities for the members.
When you join the “Youth Fairs” program, you become a member of the Grange. The Grange is a service organization with its roots in agriculture, founded in 1867. Manson Grange was founded in 1923. The Grange is a family-oriented organization where each member of the family has an opportunity for involvement.
