Game Recap 10/6/2023 @ Lake Roosevelt
information released by Manson Athletics
The Trojans defense has played great all year, but on Friday they were able to secure their first shutout at Lake Roosevelt. The Trojans knew the Raiders would try to throw the ball and the Manson defensive backs were up for the challenge. Zahyr Sanchez and Quinn Williams kept the receivers locked down all night. Additionally, Bryce Mogan, Brooks Pinski and Carter Lyman applied pressure to the LR quarterback every play.
The defense brought the energy and the offense was able to capitalize on the LR turnovers and great field position. The offense kept rolling with six touchdowns on the night. Angel Lopez and Cal Beazley keep running hard at the running back positions and the Trojans rushed for over 300 yards.
The offensive line was impressive again, dominating the line of scrimmage all night. The offensive line was comprised of Jesus Estrada at Center, Oscar Valdez and Jaime Leyva at guards, and Luis Anaya and Colby Schoenwald at Tackles. Another great piece to the offensive line is Carter Lyman who plays tight end.
“It’s always fun to win, but when you’re winning with such a great group of young men it makes it that much more special. I am so proud of these guys and the exciting part is that we are getting better every game!” said Coach Johanson.
Manson is undefeated on the season and currently sits at 6-0 (2-0 in CWB league). Manson’s next game is home vs Brewster who are 2-3 on the year.
