Manson Girls and Boys both fell short against Oroville at home on Tuesday.
The Manson girls got off to a fast start leading 6-0 but failed to generate consistent offense against Oroville falling 35-25. Manson was led by Evelyn De Jesus with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Megan Clausen with 10 points.
The Manson boys failed to hold a third quarter lead against Oroville eventually falling 60-53 in a hotly contested game. Coach Helleson said “We played with incredible energy and spirit but just came up short.” The Trojans were led by Nick Strecker’s 12 points in a balanced scoring effort.
Manson now travels to Tonasket on Friday before gearing up for the Cascade Holiday Tournament on Thursday/Friday, 12/27 & 12/28.
