The Lake Chelan Valley will once again be well represented at the 2025 WIAA State Tourney as both the Manson Trojans and Chelan Goats will be defending their state championships.
Manson – 2-B Tournament Starts on Wednesday
The 2-B Tournament opens up on Wednesday, and this year Manson plays their opening match at 9:45 a.m. versus La Conner.
The two time defending Champion Trojans enter play with an overall record of 16-5 and are seeded 6th this year while La Conner is the number 11 seed in the 16 team field.

The Trojans are coached by Hayli Thompson and are led by the CW 2-B Player of The Year, Phinley Teague. The Trojans had 3 other players selected First Team All League and 2 players named to the 2nd Team.
Chelan – 1-A Tournament Starts Friday
For Chelan, the Goats will be seeking a sixth consecutive state title which would make them the first school at any classification in Washington State to capture six straight volleyball championships. Chelan and Mead have both captured five.
Chelan opens play in the 1-A tourney at 10:45 Friday morning and as the top seed will take on #16 seed The Bear Creek.

The undefeated Goats are led by League Player of the Year Brynn Hughbanks who is also the reigning State Player of the Year. Three other Goats were also selected 1st Team All League and one other as 2nd Team. Abby Lewellen, who already has 3 state championships on her resume, was named CTL Coach of the Year.
