Generosity of donors ensures “the show will be spectacular”

Many events have been canceled or postponed, but the annual fireworks display over Manson Bay will shine as brilliantly as ever this year.

Manson Chamber of Commerce Director Debbie Conwell indicates that thanks to the generosity of major sponsors and donations from the general public they have almost hit their fundraising goal of $25,000. This ensures there will be a fabulous fireworks display over Manson Bay again this year.

“The show will be as spectacular as last year,” said Conwell.

The explosive display is set to start on Saturday, July 4th, at 10:15 p.m. Shells will be fired from a barge in the middle of Manson Bay, which allows for numerous viewing locations around Manson, Wapato Point, and the south shore. The Chamber suggests spectators watch this year from vehicles, boats and homes.

Although restaurants and shops are open in limited capacity, there are no specific activities planned for Manson Bay Park other than the fireworks. Anyone in the area of the Park or downtown Manson is urged to adhere to Washington State mandates by wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.

There is still time to make a donation in support of the fireworks via MoretoManson.com

Just a reminder that all personal fireworks are banned in Chelan County and within the city limits of Chelan.
