Manson Trojans vs. Ocasta Wildcats in Game 2 at the State Tournament
Thursday, November 8, 8:00 p.m.: Recap of Match vs. Ocasta
The Manson volleyball team fell short in their second matchup against Ocasta, falling 3-0 in a loser-out game that unfortunately eliminated the Trojans from tournament play. The first set was a real nail-biter, with the Trojans leading early but unable to hold on, dropping the game 26-24. The second set went to Ocasta, 25-9, and the third set ended in a Trojan loss, 25-15.
Manson could take some comfort in their cheering section, which was sizable and loud throughout the gameplay. Sophomore Marylein Bernardo won the Sportsmanship Award for the match.

Thursday, November 8, 2:00 p.m.: Manson Loses to La Conner 3 – 0.
The Manson Trojans dropped their opening match at the 2B State Volleyball Tournament at the SunDome in Yakima. Earlier today, the Trojans lost to the high-powered La Conner Braves 3 – 0. Manson struggled in the first set, losing 25 – 5, before regrouping and giving undefeated La Conner a real test in the second set, losing 25 – 23. The third and deciding set was won by La Conner 25 – 13.
The Trojans will play again at 5:15 p.m., taking on Ocasta in a loser-out matchup. Ocasta lost their first match to Brewster, 3 – 2. Don’t forget to listen in to our live coverage from the SunDome, starting at approximately 5:10 p.m.

Thursday, November 8, 10:00 a.m.: Manson Warms Up
Short delay in start time as the match ahead of Manson’s ran a little late. The Trojans are on the court warming up now.
Thursday, November 8, 9:00 a.m.: Tournament Play Kicks Off
With hopes of a State Championship the primary goal, the Manson Trojans’ volleyball team will participate in the State Tournament this week at the SunDome in Yakima.
The Manson Trojans begin play in the 2B Tourney Thursday morning at 9:45 with a match against highly regarded LA Conner of the NW 2B/1B League. La Conner is undefeated at 16-0 and has lost only two sets all season. The Lady Trojans, coached by Hayli Thompson, finished the season 14-4 and after dropping their first match at District bounced back with consecutive wins over Soap Lake and Lake Roosevelt to advance to State. Win or lose Thursday morning, Manson will play later in the day at 5:15pm against the winner/loser of Brewster vs. Ocosta. The 2B tournament wraps up play Friday afternoon with the Championship match scheduled for 1:30pm.
