Public to Be Updated on New Hospital Design
by Dennis Rahm
Lake Chelan Community Hospital is conducting a Community Forum tonight that will serve as a follow up to their District Forum that was held on May 8. While several items are on the agenda, much of the community interest will center on updated design plans for the new hospital that is scheduled for construction in 2020.
Board Chair Phyllis Gleasman says, “the forums are part of the hospital’s long-range plan to keep the community apprised of what’s happening at the hospital”.
In addition to an update on the construction of the new hospital building, the Board will also discuss staffing, finances, goals, services and their strategic plan.
The public will also be given an update on the hiring of the hospital’s new CEO George Rohric who will begin his duties next month. Tonight’s meeting takes place at the Chelan Senior Center at 534 East Trow starting at 5:30. The session will conclude with a question and answer period.
