Submission deadline is April 10th
Information released by the LCWJF
Artists from North Central Washington are invited to participate in a juried competition to create a poster design for the third annual Lake Chelan Wine and Jazz Festival (LCWJF), held May 14 through May 17, 2020.
The competition, which runs from February 15 to April 10, is sponsored in cooperation with the Lake Chelan Arts Council. The winning entry will be produced as a commemorative poster and copies offered for sale to the estimated 1000 ticket event holders and the general public.
Artwork must reflect the feel of the Lake Chelan Valley, highlighting the elements of wine, jazz, and the vibe of the festival. This year’s 4-day event includes 17 performers with 30 unique shows taking place at 13 venues in Chelan and Manson.
While artwork can be any medium that is adaptable to print, the finished work must scale to the standard printed poster size of 22” by 24”.
All submitted posters will be on display at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce lobby from April 20 to May 20. Displays will include artists’ names and contact information. The winning poster will be available for sale beginning the week of April 20.
Poster sale proceeds will benefit the Lake Chelan Wine and Jazz Festival mission to support and promote jazz appreciation, music education, and the arts in the Lake Chelan Wine Valley for residents and visitors.
