information released
At this morning’s all staff breakfast, the District celebrated five distinguished retirees for their service to students and recognized three Employees of the Year based on nominations from fellow staff members.
Retirees honored included CMS teacher Joanie Bankson (retiring after 32.5 years in the District), CMS/CHS Head Cook Jen Lervold (14 years in the District), CSI teacher Bill Sibbers (3 years in the District), MOE Head Cook Julie Webster (30 years in the District), and CMS teacher Roseann Young (27 years in the District). All were lauded by their supervising administrators for their impact on student learning and well-being, and each will be missed greatly by students and coworkers alike.
The Lake Chelan School District Employees of the Year are: CMS/CHS teacher Jessica Dumont, Migrant Program Family Advocate Juan Mendez, and substitute paraprofessional Jody Petersen. Each was nominated by their peers for their impact on student learning, their leadership, their impact on families and our community, and their consistent willingness to go above and beyond in their work with students and families. This year, the District received a record eighty-two nominations from staff for these awards.
