Two Dozen Women Enjoy Friendly Golf Competition

There was a big turnout of twenty four women golfers this week. Besides the weekly competition it was round one of our Club Championship Tournament. Round two will be held on Tuesday and the final round next Thursday.
This week’s competition was Monthly Medal (low gross and net by division and fewest putts).
- Division 1: Low Gross: First place, Barb Rayburn, 85. Second place, Candace Farnsworth, 89. Third place, Jan Artim, 92.
- Low Net: First place, Cindi Smith, 71. Second place was a tie between Carol Ferguson and Linda Reister, 73.
- Fewest Putts: Carol Ferguson, 30.
- Division 2: Low Gross: First place, Jaclyn Starr-Evans, 90. Second place, Mary Jo DuRuz, 98.
- Low Net: First place was a tie between Susie Clausen and Linda Hahn, 68.
- Fewest Putts: Susie Clausen, 30.
- Division 3: Low Gross: First place, Judy Johanson, 99.
- Second place was a tie between Susie Martin and Nancy Parker, 108.
- Low Net: First place, Loa Servis, 65. Second place was a tie between Barb D’ettorre and Karen Erickson, 75.
- Fewest Putts: Karen Erickson, 30.
There were three chip-in/birdies this week: Cindi Smith on hole 17 and April Talley on hole 1, plus Carol Ferguson made a spectacular 15 yard chip-in/birdie off of some bad dirt on hole 11.
Next week’s competition is “ONES” (gross score of holes starting with letters O, N, E & S less ½ your handicap plus the final round of the Club Championship. Our tee time is 8:00 am. Please check in by 7:30.
