Express Care Opens Next Week

Lake Chelan Health, formerly Lake Chelan Community Hospital, has announced their new Express Care facility will officially open on Monday, February 1. Lake Chelan Health operates the main hospital, Specialty Care, EMS and now Express Care.

Express Care is located in the former Lake Chelan Clinic building at 219 East Johnson Avenue and will be open seven days per week from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Common services seen will include:

  • Allergies
  • Rash or poison ivy
  • Cold or flu symptoms
  • School Sports Physicals
  • COVID-19 testing
  • Scrapes or minor cuts
  • Earaches and
    ear cleanings
  • Skin conditions
  • Fevers
  • Sore Throat
  • Minor allergic reactions
  • Sprains
  • Minor bruise
  • STIs and STDs
  • Minor burn
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Minor fracture
  • Other

Express Care providers include two nurse practitioners.

Alexa Hill, DNP, ARNP, FNP-C
Express Care

Alexa Hill is a new provider at Lake Chelan Health Express Care. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner holding national certification with American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Maryville University of St. Louis in 2020. Prior to this, Dr. Hill enjoyed ten fulfilling years at the bedside—working primarily in the acute care medical settings (medical/surgical, intensive care, and emergency department units) at two critical access hospitals in Washington State.

Michele Hansen, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C

Michele is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in urgent care, DOT physicals and family medicine. She has been practicing for 15 years. Michele earned her degree at Washington State University.
Prior to coming to Lake Chelan Health Express Care Michele worked as a locum provider traveling to different locations in Washington State providing care to low income, Indian Health and urgent care facilities.
