The Lake Chelan Community Hospital District and the EMS Department’s jurisdiction includes all 55 miles of Lake Chelan, including Holden Village and Stehekin.

LCCH EMS recently spent 3 days training their EMT and other Stehekin residents in Wilderness First Aid to help them provide emergency care in Stehekin when emergencies arise.

In addition, the LCCH EMS is working on a new project with the residents of Stehekin to form the community’s first “Emergency Action Plan.” Leading this public safety program is Mistaya Johnson (LCCH EMS Paramedic/MSO) who grew up in Stehekin and went to school there.
