Tuesday evening the Goats traveled to Royal City to take on the Knights. This was the Goats first game on field turf of the season. With this factor it took the Goats a few minutes to get their feet under them. Once this was done the Goats were controlling the ball down the field. The game was a physical battle. At the end of the first half the game was still tied 0-0 with the Goats having had a few opportunities that were just missed wide. The Goats knew they needed to stay strong the rest of the game. Unfortunately, one battle was lost and the Knights were able to slip one in the back of the net.
The Goats have played their best game to date. Adjusting to a new playing surface as well as implementing a new system of play. The Goats are going to continue to battle the rest of the season. They will be back on home this Thursday with another non-league match vs. the Brewster Bears. The game time will be at 4pm. At the match future Goats will also be joining the current Goats as they will be introduced to the crowd as well. Come join in on the fun.
