Sign up now or just show up for the Lake Chelan Community Clean-up
information released
Help keep Lake Chelan beautiful!
The Lake Chelan “Restore the Shore III” community-wide shoreline cleanup is happening on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 9:30 AM, and you’re invited to join the effort to preserve and protect one of Washington’s most iconic lakes.
Whether you just show up or choose to sign up ahead of time, all volunteers are welcome! The main group will meet at the City Marina Parking Lot (between the drive-in and go-carts across from Chelan Market), but participants are also encouraged to clean up any lakeshore location of their choice.
Participants can find out more and sign up at https://keepitbluelakechelan.org/restore-the-shore/.
NEW: Let’s Log the Trash!
To better understand and track the types of trash impacting the lake, this year we’re using TrashBlitz, an app developed by the 5 Gyres Institute. Download it for free on the App Store or Google Play. A video on how to use the app is also available on our website. If you prefer, paper forms will be available for trash logging as well. When you are done collecting your trash, you can either log it yourself, drop it off at our office, or contact us to arrange pick-up.
NEW: Stehekin TrashBlitz Cleanup
Thanks to a grant from 5 Gyres’ TrashBlitz Ambassador Action Fund, we’re expanding! LCRI’s Anna Galipeau will lead a special cleanup in Stehekin, Lake Chelan National Recreation Area. A small group of volunteers will go up lake with LCRI. Additional volunteers are welcome but must arrange their own transport and supplies. This event will take place on April 11, 2025.

This event is a collaborative effort from Keep It Blue–Lake Chelan, LCRI, and The Chelan Project at Chelan High School, with generous support from Campbell’s Resort, City of Chelan, Pilgrim Lake Services, Lake Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity, and the 5 Gyres Institute.
Special thanks to Campbell’s Resort, who will be offering complimentary coffee, tea, cocoa, and pastries to Restore the Shore participants from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in their Park Room on Woodin Avenue.
