UPDATE: Saturday, 12:45 p.m. – 97-A Reopens Between Entiat and Wenatchee

Update: 7/14 afternoon: Hwy. 97-A is now open.
Travelers are urged to drive with extreme caution when in the area. Do not stop or pull over. Drivers and boaters be advised that aircraft are taking water from the Columbia River.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Officials indicate an investigation will conducted once the fire is out.
