Don’t miss the annual fall yard sale at the United Methodist Church located at 28 Boetzke Avenue in Manson, this Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The huge array of items for sale includes tools, furniture, clothing, housewares, artwork and much more. The United Methodist Church conducts two yard sales per year – one in the spring and one in the fall – with all proceeds benefiting Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Over the past 20 years, Chelan Valley Habitat has built 17 homes in Chelan and Manson. Currently, Chelan Valley Habitat is developing a piece of property on East Wapato in Chelan that will eventually provide homes for eight families through the building of two duplexes and four single family homes.
Habitat for Humanity is a national and international non-profit organization whose efforts to provide affordable homes are funded in part through the generous donation of land, building materials, volunteer support and homeowner “sweat equity”. Chelan Valley Habitat also derives revenue from fund-raising activities such as the bi-annual yard sale, and the re-sale of gently used items at the Habitat Store located at 518 East Woodin Avenue. The Store is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations of sellable goods, including clothing and furniture, are accepted in the alley behind the store during regular business hours.
