The Chelan Lady Goats captured the 2018 Chelan Holiday Tournament on Friday night with a thrilling 38-37 win over the 2-A division Cedarcrest Red Wolves of Duvall.

Chelan was led by the 17 points of Sophomore sharpshooter Booh Huddleston who finished the game with five 3-point baskets. Freshman Teegan Silva also came up big by scoring all five of her points late in the game to help secure the win. The Chelan girls improved their season record to 8-3 and will next play on Friday, January 4 at Okanogan in a CTL matchup.

In the Boys’ championship game, Chelan came up short losing 56-45 to a very physical and athletic Cedarcrest team. Cedarcrest is currently ranked 10th in State in the most recent Boys 2-A RPI poll. The outcome of the game was decided in the first half with Chelan down 33-21. The Goats would outscore Cedarcrest 24-23 in the second half, but had too much of a deficit to overcome. The Goats were led in scoring by Quinn Stamps with 16 points while Connor Wilson chipped in with 10 points. The Goats are now 7-4 0verall and will take a 1-3 record into league play when they play at Okanogan on Friday, January 4.

One of the highlights of the annual Holiday Tourney was the fan favorite Alumni game played Friday afternoon. The Red and White squads of “old” Goats battled to a tie at the end of regulation with the Red team winning 64-60 in overtime. The “oldest Goats” for each team are circled on the pictured roster.
