Have a Safe and Sane Halloween!

Information compiled

There are many ways to celebrate Halloween in Chelan and Manson tonight.

Looking for a safe place to take your kids on Halloween night? Trunk “N” Treat is an event sponsored by North Shore Bible Church and the Manson Chamber of Commerce that provides a safe space and lots of fun. Kids can safely go “trunk to trunk” to gather candy from participants in the Church Parking lot from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. At about 5:30, look up as Dale England flies his helicopter overhead and drops candy from the sky.

Christ Center Chelan will be holding their Light the Night event tonight. Located across the street from Riverwalk Park (204 W. Okanogan), the church will be handing out free hot dogs for trick or treaters between 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

From 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., downtown Chelan will be abuzz with trick or treaters going door to door in search of candy. They won’t have to search very hard. Business owners sit or stand in front of their stores, most in costume, handing out treats to little ghosts, princesses, superheros and everything in between.  Costume contests begin at 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Emerson and Woodin.

For more information about these and other local activities, visit the Manson Chamber or Lake Chelan Chamber websites.

Happy Halloween everyone!  Next up is the 2nd Annual celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Saturday, November 2nd. Watch for additional details on LakeChelanNow.com
