Trunk or Treat and Car-stume Events Provide Halloween Fun

On Saturday, October 31, kids of all ages can participate in Halloween activities that encourage dressing up in costumes, fun decorations, spooky music and of course, candy!
Manson’s annual Trunk-Or-Treat will take place in the parking lot at North Shore Bible Church on Halloween Night from 4:30 – 6 p.m.
Sponsored by North Shore Bible Church and the Manson Chamber of Commerce, the event features a variety of participants who decorate their cars and their trunks, then they park in the NSBC parking lot (123 Wapato Point Parkway) and open their candy-filled trunks so trick-or-treaters can move from car to car for sweet treats.
Many of the parents and adults accompanying the trick-or-treaters also dress in Halloween costumes to share in this safe and socially distanced fun.

Chelan’s traditional downtown trick-or-treat event has a new look this year – a drive through and “Car-stume” Contest.
Instead of costumed kids going from store to store in search of candy, there will be a car-stume drive through town from 5 – 7 p.m. with goody bags awaiting participants at the end of the route. Anyone can participate in the drive-through, but those who wish to “car-stume up” can enter the contest and compete for prizes.
Online voting will determine the contest winners. LakeChelanNow will be providing Facebook Live coverage of the event from their vantage point at Layla’s Streaterie for those unable to attend in person.
The community is invited to decorate your car and dress up your driver and passengers for a slow drive along the parade route. Participants will cue up at the High School (see map) before crossing the old bridge and continuing along Woodin Avenue. Additional details can be found in the related LCN Story below.
Drivers who do not plan to participate in the event should expect traffic delays on the Old Bridge and Woodin Avenue. It is recommended that drivers avoid the area during the event hours if possible. Parking will be restricted on Woodin Avenue between Columbia and Sanders streets starting at 4 p.m.
