On Tuesday, the Goats traveled to Cle Elum for a non-league match against the Warriors. The Goats were coming off a long weekend where a lot was learned in their two non-league matches vs. the Montesano Bulldogs and Tenino Beavers. With what was learned in those first two matches the Goats made some adjustments to their line-up.

The Warriors came out hard and fast and had the Goats on their heels for the first twenty minutes where they scored their first goal of the game. The Goats came back and Sr. Maya Cowan dropped a ball to Sr. Jailyn Reinhart who sent a left footed shot across the face of the goal and put it in the upper corner of the net. This left the Goats tied with the Warriors at half. Going into the second half the Warriors made a few adjustments and caught the Goats a few times. The Goats are continuing to learn and grown in each match they have played so far this season.

With the adjustments made some young Goats have found some solid roles in the adjusted lineup. Sophomore Leilani Avila stepped into a defender roll and played strong against each girl who came her way. Along with Freshman Madilyn Cowan who moved from the outside midfield into the defensive midfield position. With each match the Goats have played so far this season they continue to grow in all areas of the game.

This Saturday the Goats will be traveling to Redmond to play Bear Creek in a non-league match at noon.
