Get Festive with Friends, Families and Neighbors on December 16
information released
WENATCHEE, WASH. – Join the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society on Saturday, Dec. 16 for its first-ever, family-friendly Santa Paws 5K/2K run/walk event on the Apple Capital Loop Trail. You can participate as an individual or a group to raise money to improve the lives of pets and people in North Central Washington.
“We’re a community resource that helps ensure the health and well-being of our local pets,” said WVHS Executive Director James Pumphrey. “This is a fun way to get some exercise, share some holiday spirit and support WVHS’s important work.”
The Santa Paws event is a partnership with Wenatchee Valley Brewing. Thank you to our early sponsors – the WRAC, WORX and Firehouse Pet Shop – for helping to make this event possible. There will be prizes for the best costume, most money raised and best team name.
The 5K run/walk starts at 10:30 a.m. at the brewery, following a route along the Loop Trail to Walla Walla Point Park and back. There will be a shorter course along the trail for the 2K. The event concludes with Santa photos, awards and brunch at the pet-friendly Wenatchee Valley Brewing.
