Emma Stockholm plays for the University of Montana

Former Chelan High School basketball standout Emma Stockholm earned her second Academic All-Big Sky Conference award in two years earlier this month.

The daughter of Chris Stockholm and Mona Ferguson, Emma is a Junior at Montana State University where she has earned a 3.35 GPA as an early childhood education major. She was one of 44 Montana student-athletes recognized on the recent winter-sports list, which included men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s indoor track and field.

Emma started all 30 games for the University of Montana this past season.  She ranked third on the team in rebounding and fourth in scoring. Her highlights for this season included a high of 20 points against Southern Utah she scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Lady Griz championship classic against NCAA tournament qualifier UC Davis.  Emma is one of three returning seniors on next year’s team.
