Continued High Winds Predicted Through the Day
UPDATE – 9/7/20: 9:15 a.m. Cold Springs Fire
Fire is jumping Hwy 17. Hwy 17 is closed and Bridgeport Hill Road is closed. Fire is headed to Mansfield. A suspect started 4 fires near Cold Springs Road and Columbia River Road. One of those fires took off and the wind caught it.
Bridgeport State Park is on a Level 3 and all points in between.
Emergency Management said people needing shelter should call the Red Cross at 509-670-5331 and those needing to evacuate livestock should call the Okanogan County Fairgrounds at 509-322-1621.
High winds are expected to continue and increase throughout the morning.
9/7/20: 9:00 a.m. — Fire is burning near Cameron Lake Road, Timentwa Road and Mad Mountain Road and spreading south and west.
A level 3 IMMEDIATE EVACUATION has been issued for all of the Cameron Lake area. Persons should be aware of their surroundings and take action NOW.
Cold Springs Fire has also prompted Level 3 IMMEDIATE EVACUATIONS for residents of Bridgeport and Mansfield.
