Neighboring houses threatened, but not damaged

Orondo Fire responded Wednesday evening at 9 pm to the report of a structure fire at Beebe Ranch, two miles north of the Beebe Bridge.

The first arriving units found a large two car garage with heavy fire inside. There were two neighboring houses close to the building on fire that were immediately threatened. A second alarm was struck with fire units responding from five fire districts. The building was heavily laden with contents including two jet skis. Fire fighters made entry through a door and cut open the garage door for access to extinguish the fire.

The garage and contents were a total loss with damages estimated at $250,000. The neighboring houses were not damaged. One person was treated at the scene by medical crews for injuries sustained at the fire. There were no injuries to fire personnel.

Twenty-six emergency responders and nine fire apparatus arrived on scene from Orondo Fire, Chelan Fire-Rescue, Manson Fire, Waterville Fire, Wenatchee Valley Fire and LCH ambulance. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
