Family Friendly Apple Celebration Closes Out the Season

Thursday, September 27th is the final day of Chelan’s Thursday Evening Farmers Market season. In addition to local produce, handcrafted art and treats, attendees can celebrate the harvest with live music by Dan Quigley and an apple pie competition.

 

Make your best apple pie and enter your delicious homemade creation for a chance to win the $100 first prize. Just bring your pie to Riverwalk Park by 4 p.m. on Thursday. After the judging, the community is invited to come and enjoy a slice (by donations)

What might you expect to find at this week’s market?

You can expect peaches, nectarines, plums, pluots,  apples, nuts, watermelons, other melons, corn, peppers, corn stalks, herbs, micro-greens and other greens, summer squash, pumpkins, potatoes, green beans, kale, tomatoes, local meat, eggs, honey, baked goods, local crafts and more.
