Lady of the Lake and Lady Express to offer additional food choices

Discover Lake Chelan LLC, new owners of the Lake Chelan Boat Company, has announced a partnership with the Stehekin Pastry Company to bring fresh, local food options onto the Lady of the Lake boats.
The first phase of the partnership will be offering Stehekin Pastry Company items on the boats this coming summer. The boats will feature a limited selection of items over Memorial Day weekend as a preview of what’s to come.
According to spokesperson Clancy Courtney, the owners plan to start small and grow from there. Courtney indicated passengers can expect to see over the course of the summer, pastries, cookies, cupcakes, cold and hot sandwiches, wraps, deli salads, and an occasional cinnamon roll or sticky bun. This combined with the fact that we are now serving another local favorite in Blue Star Coffee will make for a very enjoyable combination as you cruise up lake on early summer mornings.
Offering delicious, locally made products will create a more enjoyable experience for passengers and in turn will promote a fantastic local business which Discover Lake Chelan LLC has indicated is their ultimate goal. Expanding the range of the Stehekin Pastry Company from a destination based standalone operation in Stehekin to an operation that is accessible up and down the lake is a huge step forward.
In the future, owners plan to grow the partnership further into a dockside coffee shop and café with Robbie Courtney as the consultant. The location alone makes this a phenomenal opportunity, but it will be supported by an established customer base which is a great starting point and place to grow from.
