At Wenatchee World’s Annual Recognition of Young Professionals

Rachael Goldie, Chelan Valley Housing Trust’s Executive Administrator, was selected as one of North Central Washington’s best and brightest young professionals at a jam-packed ceremony held at the Performing Arts Center recently.

According to the Wenatchee World, the award winners in Wenatchee Valley Business World’s 30 Under 35 Class of 2021 “are already making substantive changes in the community.” This certainly holds true for Ms. Goldie.

Rachael Goldie was at the inception of the Chelan Valley Housing Trust, whose mission is to provide affordable home ownership for the wage earners of the greater Chelan valley. She was largely responsible for forming the startup non-profit and securing its 501 c3 status. She has become an expert in how land trusts work and is greatly respected by her Community Land Trust peers throughout Washington state.

Her work was instrumental in securing $1.1 million in grants and donations to build the organization’s first affordable five-townhome community, Emerson Village, located in downtown Chelan. The CVHT Board of Trustees sees her as a passionate advocate for affordable home ownership and a consummate professional.

“There’s no end to her capability,” reports Vice President Clint Campbell. “We are beyond fortunate to have her.”

In typical Rachael Goldie fashion, she has shared her award with those she works with. “I’m beyond honored,” began Goldie, “and truly blessed to be surrounded with people that want good things to happen in the world and do something about it.”
