Chelan Basketball and Wrestling are recognized

A talented Chelan Goat Boys basketball team has had three players named to the Caribou Trail League 1st Team. Seniors Reed Stamps and Nate Harding, along with Junior Braden Boyd, were announced earlier this week as All League selections. Named to the Second team was Sophomore Dylan Jay. The Chelan Boys will play for the District Championship Friday night taking on Quincy in a game to be played at Wenatchee High School at 8 pm.
The Chelan Girls basketball team had two all conference selections led by Senior Aliyah Finch who was named to the CTL First Team. Junior Kira Sandoval earned a Second Team all league selection. The Chelan Girls begin postseason play with a home game on Thursday at 6:30 pm taking on Quincy in a loser out contest. The winner will advance to the next round of the District Tournament on Monday, February 14 at Wenatchee High School.
The top CTL Wrestlers were also recognized with all league awards. Congratulations to the Chelan Boys who were selected winners of the CTL Sportsmanship Award. For the Goats, Tiernan Davis earned second team in the 160 pound division, while Ronald Hooten earned Honorable Mention in the 145 pound division and Colton Funk at 182.
