Capi will attend DigiPen Institute of Technology

information released by Lake Chelan Rotary Club

Congratulations to Manson High School senior Sam Capi, who has been accepted to DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond next year. Sam was one of the two initial Lake Chelan Rotary Promise Scholarship recipients when the program was started in 2018, and the first to be moving on to college.

Promise Scholarships were established to encourage local high school students, starting in their freshman year, to aspire to higher education at college, university or trade schools despite potential barriers. Sam will receive $2,500 from Rotary. He will be the first of his five siblings to attend college, and the first student from Manson High School to attend DigiPen.

DigiPen specializes in technology-focused programs, and is ranked in the top 5 of the Princeton Review’s Top Game Design Schools for the last 11 years, as well as in the Top 50 Best Computer Science and Engineering schools by Business Insider.

Sam, along with Addie Grageda, Parent Support/Post-Secondary Coordinator for Manson Schools, joined Lake Chelan Rotary’s weekly Zoom meeting on March 9 to share the good news. Our club and community is proud of you, Sam. Congratulations on your achievements!
