Both schools field a young team with competitive matches
information released by Coach Rothlisberger
This was the season opener for the Chelan tennis team.
Prior to the match, I was nervous about how our young 1A squad would be able to handle a perennial 4A power like Wenatchee. A majority of our varsity lineup on both the girls’ side and boys’ side was playing their first varsity match ever, many of them playing their first high school match ever. As it turned out, Wenatchee was also fielding a young team, so most of the matches were very competitive. Very few blowout sets.
