Boys win; girls fall in CTL matchup

Tennis Update from Monday, April 15; Cashmere @ Chelan

The odd Monday timing of this match is due to the fact this is a rainout make-up from late March.  It was NOT a great day for tennis.  The wind made play very difficult.

Girls:  Cashmere 4, Chelan 1

#1 Singles:  Faith Kert (Cash) def Maya Cowan 6-0, 6-2
#2 Singles:  Freya Dronen (Cash) def Ellie McLemore 6-1, 6-4
#3 Singles:  Josie Garfoot (Ch) def Hazel Schade 6-1, 6-2
#1 Doubles:  Reese Westlund/Lucy Ray (Cash) def Estee Flynn/Brooklyn Foyle 6-2, 6-3
#2 Doubles:  Layne Varrelman/Hadley Westlund (Cash) def Alison Horner/Madeline Cowan 6-3, 6-4
We saw tonight why the Cashmere girls remain undefeated: talented at the top and good depth.  I was pleased with how our Chelan girls competed.  Nothing was easy.

Boys:  Chelan 4, Cashmere 1

#1 Singles:  Albin Eskew (Cash) def Rylen Moody 3-6, 7-6(7-3), 6-1
