The Goats lose 3-0 to the defending State “B” Champions

information released by Chelan Athletics

The Goats traveled to Okanogan to take on the defending state B Champions. Knowing that the Bulldogs had won the title last year, but also knowing they had graduated 10 seniors the Goats knew it would be a different team but still one that would give a good game. The Goats and the Bulldogs both came out hard. With play back and forth down the field.

The Bulldogs would come up with a goal in the 30th minute of play capitalizing on a mistake made by the Goats. This would prove to be all that was needed to bring the Goats down in play this evening. The Bulldogs were able to put to more into the back of the net to give them the 3-0 win this evening.

The Goats JV squad was able to get in their first match of the season. In this match the girls were playing with small numbers as a few Goats were not able to travel today. However, they showed they have learned a lot in the first few weeks of training and were able to put a ball into the back of the net by Freshman Evelyn Sanchez. Unfortunately, this was not enough as the bulldogs were able to come out on top with a 5-1 victory over the Goats.

The Goats will open up league play this Thursday with the ever-challenging Cashmere Bulldogs. The JV will play at 4:30 with the Varsity having their game at 6pm.
