Coaches report on 3-0 loss to Cashmere

information released by Chelan Athletics

The Goats traveled down to the Cashmere Bulldogs to open the league in a tough opening battle of the CTL. The Goats had a game plan going in and stuck to it. They gave the Bulldogs trouble for the first half and were able to hold them to only one goal for the half. In the second half the Bulldogs adjusted a little after half and were able to get two more goals on the Goats.

Through the entire game the Goats continued to work hard and put pressure on the Bulldogs. They were able to get some offensive attack though-out the game with the Bulldogs goal keeper coming up big to keep a clean sheet for the Bulldogs.

The Goats have been battling all season with injuries as well this season. Right now, the Goats are down two starters and have had to make adjustments with players getting used to new positions. Even with all the adjustments the Goats have been learning and growing on the field. The Goats have seen very solid defensive play from our back line with Sr. Madi Barker, Sr. Arabelle Finch and So. Leilani Avila. They have been working as a unit and are coming together. The Goats will be hosting the Quincy Jackrabbits this next Tuesday at 4pm at Mountain Goat Field.
