Lunch is offered on a take-out basis

Due to health concerns regarding the COVID-19 Virus, the Chelan Senior Center has announced a two week closure beginning Wednesday, March 11. Center Vice Chairman John Olson said the decision to close is consistent with closures of the two other Chelan County Senior Centers in Wenatchee and Leavenworth. The Senior Center ReRun Center will continue regular Thursday – Sunday operating hours.
Senior Center General Manager, Annie S. Claeys, reports that the closure includes temporary suspension of all SAIL classes, volleyball, and Weight Watchers meetings. For those who may have an event scheduled at the Senior Center, contact Claeys at 509-682-2712 or on her cell phone at 253-459-9017.
Even though the center will be closed to the public, the lunch program will continue to be offered on a take-out basis. LeeAnne Weathersby, Assistant Director for Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition, says lunches will be available for pickup from 10:30-11:30 am on a Monday through Thursday basis. Those wanting a lunch should call ahead to order by no later than 9:30 am the day of. The phone number to call is 509-888-4440.
There is no word as yet on the status of the Friday lunch offered at North Shore Bible Church in Manson and it is recommended to call ahead later in the week to check on the availability.
