Election will be certified on May 3rd

Proponents of a Lake Chelan School District construction bond to build a new high school as well as make other facility improvements, are sure to be disappointed by last night’s election results.
The $75.5 million bond is being soundly defeated. Yes votes at less than 44% with 60% approval needed for passage. Voter turnout was just under 48%. The election will be certified on May 3rd.
Lake Chelan Now will have an interview with Superintendent Barry DePaoli later today.
