The Chelan Boys Basketball team defeated the Granger Spartans at Granger High School Saturday night. The Goats used their pressure defense to build a 15 point halftime lead and never looked back, ultimately coming away with a 30 point victory.
Chelan was paced by Connor Wilson’s 24 points. Cade Christopherson and Quinn Stamps each poured in 17 points. Senior Sam Austin chipped in 14 points off the bench.
The Mountain Goats improve to 2-0 on the season. They open league play this Tuesday (12/4) at Cashmere.
Coach Pearl said, “Tonight our guys did a great job playing together and sharing the ball. I thought we were very balanced offensively. Our guys played some good defense and got their hands on a lot.”
Pearl added, “We have a huge challenge ahead of us going to Cashmere this week. They’re talented and well coached. We hope our guys are up for it.”
The Cashmere double-header will be broadcast live on LakeChelanNow with play-by-play announcer, Dennis Rahm, behind the microphone.
