information released

Chelan County Sheriff’s Office Detectives continue to investigate the disappearance of 37-year-old Adriana Nunez-Gutierrez of Chelan. Adriana was last seen at her home in Chelan the evening of February 15th. She was reported missing on February 23rd by Morgan Owing’s Elementary where she often volunteers. Detectives followed up with family members who are cooperating with the authorities.

Detectives were made aware of a text message sent by Adriana‘s phone on February 16th between 2 am and 3 am.  They were able to gather information from Adriana‘s cell phone provider indicating the phone lost power after the text message was sent on the 16th. Therefore, the location of the phone is currently unavailable. Detectives spoke to Adriana‘s employer who verified she has not picked up her paycheck. She has also missed scheduled appointments.

A member of the community reported possibly seeing Adriana at the Chelan Walmart last week. Deputies have reviewed surveillance and do not believe the person at the store was Adriana.

Adriana is a Hispanic female, approximately 5’3″ tall, 110 pounds, dark hair, and usually wears a black sweatshirt or dark jacket. According to family, she walks with a noticeable limp.

Investigators will continue to follow up on leads and are asking anyone who may have information that may further the investigation to call the CCSO tipline at (509) 667-6845 or email Detective Bowthorpe at cy.bowthorpe@co.chelan.wa.us.
