Foreman promoted to the rank of Chief of Special Operations

Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett has promoted Chris Foreman to the rank of Chief of Special Operations effective Monday, November 1, 2021. Chief Foreman previously held the rank of Sergeant since May 1,
2008. Chief Foreman has been assigned as the City of Chelan Sergeant (Contract City Liaison) for the past three years and was the Sergeant for the Columbia River Drug Task force for eight years prior to his assignment for the City of Chelan. Chief Foreman is the current Vice President for the Washington State Narcotics Investigators Association (WSNIA)
Chief Foreman has held multiple positions and assignments within the Sheriff’s Office during his career to include, Team Leader for the Chelan County Regional SWAT team. Foreman will now be the Commander for the SWAT team as he brings in over 16 years of tactical team experience. Foreman also served as the coordinator for the Sheriff’s Office Field Training Program, which is responsible for training all commissioned deputy hires.
Chief Foreman served as a Patrol Corporal from December of 2006 until his promotion to Patrol Sergeant in May of 2008. Foreman was hired by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office in February of 2003 and had attended the Basic Law Enforcement Academy in the Police Corps Class. The Police Corps Class, was a pilot program for moving the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Basic Law Enforcement Academy class from 480 hours of instruction to 720 hours of instruction.
