On Monday, March 8, seasonal road restrictions will be added in the Entiat District. Restrictions begin at milepost 10.32 (just below Mud Creek Road) and go to the end of the pavement. The weight restrictions also apply to all roads off of Entiat River Road, above milepost 10.32.

Seasonal weight restrictions are now on in the Wenatchee, Cashmere, Entiat and Chelan road districts. Watch for updates on the Travel Alerts and Restrictions webpage, where the free permit application also is available. Applications must be in by 10 a.m. the day prior to traveling. If you are hauling freight on a Monday, the permit must be in by 10 a.m. the Thursday prior.

Road District Maintenance

Maintenance plans may change with weather conditions or equipment difficulties. Visit the Public Works website, where the weekly road maintenance information is regularly updated. To minimize potential exposure to COVID-19 to staff and the public, Public Works is open by appointment only. Call 667-6415 for an appointment.

District 1 (Wenatchee) — Crews will begin maintenance work on 2021 Preservation Roads and continue snow and ice control if needed. Temporary weight restrictions are on roads in the Wenatchee District.

District 2 (Cashmere) — On Monday, crews plan to be repairing guardrail on Stine Hill Road, in the vicinity of Turkey Shoot Road. Motorists should watch for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic. Plan for minor delays. Crews on Tuesday then plan to install a culvert on Butler Road. Motorists also should watch for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic in the work area. And the crew will be doing spring brooming in the Nahahum Canyon and Mission Creek areas. Temporary weight restrictions are on roads in the Cashmere District.

District 3 (Leavenworth) — The crew will be doing snow and ice control as needed. They also will be monitoring roads for seasonal weight restrictions and checking drainages. And the crew will clean up downed trees along roadways and repair potholes across the district.

District 4 (Entiat) — Crews will be doing snow and ice control as needed and patching potholes. Temporary weight restrictions are on some roads in the Entiat District (see above).

District 5 (Chelan) — Crews will be widening the shoulder on East Wapato Lake Road. Watch for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic. Motorists should plan for minor delays in the work area. The crew also will be ditching on South Lakeshore Road. Watch for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic here as well. And the crew will monitor for water runoff issues and finish spring brooming. Temporary weight restrictions are on roads in the Chelan District.
